This feature makes Jaiku really micro-blogging service, like Pownce. But then, Pownce also has much more features, including file sharing. And twitter is all about what you are doing and where are you at the moment. This is the main difference between all "twitter killers" and twitter itself.

Well, but this is the only problem with twitter - uptime. In other ways it's very cool.

So the best option is to be registered in all these services and use something like Ping.FM :))
